Cousins ID'd As Suspects In Quadruple Philadelphia Shooting

A pair of cousins and "persons of interest" have been identified in the bloody Lawncrest shooting that killed three and badly injured one in Lawncrest on Friday are armed, dangerous, and on the loose, say Philadelphia police.

Three young men were shot dead on the 5900 block of Palmetto Street in the near Northeast around 3:35 p.m. on April 28, Daily Voice reported. The victims have since been identified as: 

  • Malik Ballard, 17, of Frankford 
  • Khalif Frezghi, 18, of East Mount Airy
  • Salah Fleming, 14, of North Philadelphia

Police have said the fourth victim, a 16-year-old boy, was shot once in the chest and treated at Jefferson Frankford Hospital, though his present condition is unclear. 

Shortly after the shooting, two suspects aged 15 and 16 were arrested about two miles away on East Wyoming Avenue, authorities say. 

At least two more people are said to be "persons of interest" in the case. Taj Lennon, 15, and Tyree Lennon, 22, are considered "armed and dangerous," and residents who spot them should call 911, the department said.
